A federal jury convicted a retired Contemporary York police officer, Thomas Webster, of assaulting an officer all the intention during the Jan. 6 Capitol assault.

WASHINGTON – A retired Contemporary York police officer became once convicted Monday in a federal trial of assaulting a police officer in the Capitol assault Jan. 6, 2021.

Thomas Webster, 56, of Goshen, Contemporary York, is a Marine worn and retired 20-year Contemporary York Police Division officer who served in then-Mayor Mike Bloomberg’s security ingredient. Webster became once the 2nd former police officer to face trial in the assault.

Webster became once charged with assaulting D.C. Police Officer Noah Rathbun. Webster became once recorded pushing a bicycle rack into law enforcement officers while skirmishing outside the Capitol, then swinging a Marine Corps flag pole he became once carrying at Rathbun and tackling the officer to the bottom, in conserving with court recordsdata.
